Here's AOC who, in some circles, is considered a frontrunner for the 2028 nomination, telling us (in the caption) that all races are equal and Republicans are seeking to divide them.
But I guess some are more equal than others.
We're all the same: BLACK, white, and ¡¡LATINO!! YAYAYAYAY!
They can't divide us! But we are dividing ourselves! Unity!
The answer is that the Associated Press decided to start capitalizing "Black" after the BLM riots to emphasize skin color as an identity, but then refused to do the same for whites.
Latino, meanwhile, is capitalized because it's a real ethnicity that means something, unlike random adjectives like "white" and "black" which are made-up labels to arbitrarily divide people (if you don't realize how weird that is, think of how odd it would sound to call an Asian person "yellow").
All of us are equal, but also we separate everyone by skin color and then refuse to capitalize one skin color.
