Sometimes people surprise you by expressing an opinion you never would have expected. Other times, they do the most predictable thing ever. "Science Guy" Bill Nye falls into the second category after blaming the deadly Texas flooding on, you guessed it, climate change caused by burning fossil fuels.
A fanatical liberal media personality blaming a tragedy on climate change? Who would've thought?
The New York Post had more on the story.
During the latest episode of CNN's 'Inside Politics,' Nye argued that one of the main ways to prevent what host Dana Bash reported was an increasing frequency of 'once-in-100-year' storms is to ban fossil fuels.
Ah, of course. The guy who played a scientist on TV emerges from hibernation to once again lecture all of us on the impending doom of climate change.
But fossil fuels aren't the only culprit, according to Nye. It's also the government.
Nye blamed the government as well, saying it has been convinced by fossil fuel companies to ignore climate change, which he believes has made these disasters worse.
'But the fossil fuel industry has been very successful in getting organizations like the US Congress to think that itβs really not happening,' he said.
Or, you know, as the actual scientific data shows, global weather patterns are cyclical, and have been for all of recorded history.

But, yeah, "Science Guy" and all that.
