If Elon can't save the system from destroying the country, who can?

We can't go on, folks. We're like a man making $50,000 a year who is 370,000 in debt and just took out a loan to buy a new truck so he can take a roadtrip to the casino.
We are going to default on our debt unless we have massive cuts.

I haven't heard a single Republican congressman articulate why we need to balloon the debt even more, outside of shallow platitudes.

At the end of the day, it really does seem like the octogenarians in Congress are stealing money from their great-grandkids with the mentality of King Hezekiah:
"Why not, if there will be peace and security during my lifetime?"
