Gallup: For the first time since 2005, a majority of Americans want less immigration – including legal immigration

Man, I don't know how in the world Democrats can win this coming election.

For the first time since 2005, most Americans are saying "no" to new and increased immigration. And, yes, it includes ending legal immigration.

Significantly more U.S. adults than a year ago, 55% versus 41%, would like to see immigration to the U.S. decreased. This is the first time since 2005 that a majority of Americans have wanted there to be less immigration, and today's figure is the largest percentage holding that view since a 58% reading in 2001. The record high was 65%, recorded in 1993 and 1995.

Four years of Biden border crisis and Americans are becoming FED UP!

This is no surprise, since Gallup recorded similar results when asking if people felt immigration was a risk. This was in February.

The numbers in the latest gallup poll show that it's not just Republicans who are tired of the constant increase in immigration. People of all parties.

Although the desire for decreased immigration varies widely by party, all three groups are significantly more likely than a year ago to favor less immigration. This includes a 15-point increase among Republicans (to 88%), an 11-point increase among independents (to 50%) and a 10-point increase among Democrats (to 28%).

Even the Dems are tired of this border bloodbath.

Well, just over 28% of them are. And, again, this isn't just illegal immigration.

63% of Americans support ending the refugee program during times like these when the border is overrun.

The other good news, for Republicans, is that Americans view immigration as a more important voter issue now than when Trump was first elected on "build that wall" in 2016.

Twenty-five percent of U.S. registered voters say a candidate must share their views on immigration in order to secure their vote. That is up slightly from 20% in 2015, the last time Gallup asked the question. Another 56% say immigration will be one of many important factors they take into account when voting this year, and 16% say it is not a major issue.

November is being handed to the GOP on a silver platter.

Opposing mass migration is a winning issue now.
