Ten nurses in single Massachusetts hospital ward have developed brain tumors over the last few years πŸ€”

Well, this is interesting...

Nurses at Newton-Wellesley Hospital say they're concerned about growing numbers of cancer cases among longtime nurses who have been working on a fifth-floor maternal care ward. 'You're going into work every day with that feeling in your gut, and it's a lousy feeling,' a nurse who doesn't want to be identified tells WBZ-TV.

She's speaking out after being diagnosed with a brain tumor and says she's not alone among her nursing colleagues. 'It's getting to the point where the number just increases, and you start saying am I crazy thinking this,' she said. 'This can't just be a coincidence.'

"This can't just be a coincidence."

I'm trying to imagine if there were any medical developments over the last five years or so that could have been pushed on the population and, in theory, led to unexpected medical conditions.

Stop me if you can think of anything...

Yeah, these are things we're not allowed to speculate on, of course.

Really, you just have to accept the fact that nearly a dozen nurses have all ended up with the same potentially deadly conditions over the course of a few years, and you are not permitted to wonder if something new and novel and untested might be causing this trend.

Don't even breathe a word of that!

Thankfully, though β€” what a relief! β€” the hospital conducted an inquiry and would like you to know that there's nothing going on in its corridors that might have caused this β€” absolutely nothing:

[We] can confidently reassure our dedicated team members at Mass General Brigham/Newton-Wellesley Hospital and all our patients that there is no environmental risk at our facility.

Yeeeah I'm kinda wondering how they define "environmental."
