Vice President J.D. Vance personally carried the casket of Charlie Kirk on the tarmac of Salt Lake International Airport on Thursday afternoon, paying tribute to his good friend.
The vice president offered the use of his official government plane to carry Kirk's body back to Arizona (his home is in Scottsdale).
Details for Kirk's funeral have not been released, but it is expected to be in Phoenix. President Trump told reporters Thursday that he plans to attend: "They've asked me to go, and I think have an obligation to be there."
