Three people are dead and nine injured after a massive shootout took place during a barbecue in Philadelphia's Grays Ferry neighborhood Sunday night.

The shots broke out just before 1 a.m. Monday on the 1500 block of South Etting Street.
Police say they were actively monitoring the block for reports of large gatherings and loud music earlier in the weekend. Multiple arrests were made throughout the weekend.
Officers were responding to a nearby call when they heard the gunfire.
When they arrived on scene they found 12 shooting victims, three of whom died.
Victims in the shooting ranged from 15-24 years old. The deceased victims are 19, 23, and 24, all men. A 19-year-old man has been listed as in critical condition.
This one will undoubtedly be jotted down as a "mass shooting" so the stat-keepers have more ammo to try to take our guns away.
