The comment was made at millionaire Bernie Sanders' "Fight Oligarchy" tour in Kalamazoo, Michigan, on Saturday night (you can find the full context at 1:01:30 in this video). It received thunderous applause.
Abdul El-Sayed is running for U.S. Senate in the Ann Arbor/Detroit area. He previously served as executive director of the Detroit Health Department and Health Officer for the City of Detroit. He's also a political contributor at CNN and placed second behind Big Gretchen Whitmer in the 2018 Democratic primary for Michigan governor.
Michelle Obama said in 2016 that the Democrats would take the high road when their opponents took the low road. Her pal Eric Holder then said in 2018 that Michelle was wrong:
When they go low, we kick 'em. That's what this new Democratic Party is about.
That kind of thinking led to the leftwing violence that became commonplace from 2020 onwards.
What kind of new mostly-peaceful shenanigans can we expect from this expansion into "take them to the mud and choke them out"?
