Republicans pause Florida bill that gives stiffer penalties to cop killers because it might ... disproportionally affect black people

With Republicans like this, who needs Democrats?

In a mind-boggling display of cowardice, Republicans under the leadership of Tom Leek have paused work on a bill called the "Officer Jason Raynor Act" named for an officer who was shot in the head by a thug during a police stop.

By some ridiculous miscarriage of justice, this scumbag ended up with a reduced sentence for manslaughter instead of murder.

The Officer Jason Raynor Act was written to change that, instituting a mandatory life sentence for cop killers.

Now the bill has been placed on hold by Republicans because democrats were upset the bill would disproportionately affect black people.

Republicans have a supermajority of 28 in the FL Senate while Democrats only have 11. They could easily pass this bill.

So why didn't they? According to "Republican" Senator Leek, its because of his "love" for his Democrat colleagues in the Senate.

WATCH:

Folks on the internet were understandably outraged:

While loser Republicans are busy feeling their empathy for activist leftists, the rest of the country is feeling for the family of this slain officer.

Florida Republicans, this is pathetic.
