Welp. I don't know why I expected anything else.
Only 3 of the judges wanted to take up the case against the state of Maryland where "assault weapons" were banned. A 2nd Amendment case against Rhode Island was also left to the lower courts.
Because all the courts appear to have become one big joke.
The justices turned away two appeals after lower courts upheld a ban in Maryland on powerful semi-automatic rifles such as AR-15s and one in Rhode Island restricting the possession of ammunition feeding devices holding more than 10 rounds. The lower courts rejected arguments that the measures violate the U.S. Constitution's Second Amendment right to 'keep and bear arms.'
Three conservative justices, Clarence Thomas, Samuel Alito and Neil Gorsuch, dissented from the court's decision not to hear the cases.
Kavanaugh wrote a separate cert that basically says this won't be the last chance for the court to address the AR-15 issue. He just didn't think this was the case to do it.
The libs/women all sided together once again.
It's only your 2nd Amendment rights they're talking about, guys! What's the hurry to get this case heard, right?
