Well, it looks like Jimmy Kimmel and Disney/ABC might be about to find out.
FCC Chairman Brendan Carr was on Benny Johnson's show on Wednesday and addressed Kimmel's "truly sick" Monday-night monologue (covered here) where he inferred that Charlie Kirk's assassin was "MAGA."

There's a very concerted effort to try to lie to the American people about the nature ... of one of the most significant, newsworthy, public interest acts that we've seen in a long time. In what appears to be an action ... by Jimmy Kimmel to play into that narrative that this was somehow a MAGA Republican motivated person. That's what happened here with his conduct. That is really, really sick.

You better believe that the biggest "cover your butt" operation in the history of late night television is happening at ABC right now.
Because Carr's threat is serious. Companies like ABC and CBS that are given public air time have strict rules they must follow. Lying about the political motivations of a political assassin breaks more than a few.
