Isn't it funny how one small detail can literally change everything we think about a story?
Remember this from yesterday?
Ex-NFL star Antonio Brown even promised to help the man, starting a GoFundMe that has raised $77,000 dollars (!!) as of Thursday morning.
Yeah, well, the cops say that the dude lied about being at a job interview next door.

His actual excuse that got everyone to defend him was just made completely up. The New York Post, who originally covered the job interview angle, has this follow-up.
Louis told officials he had filled out an application at the West Bank Inn next door earlier in the day and was waiting for a callback.
Police poked holes in Louis' alibi when they went to the inn and spoke with an employee, who confirmed that Louis had filled out a job application around 1:30 p.m. but was not expecting any return call for an interview.
"Okay," you say, "But he still left the kids to fill out an application next door."

Security footage captured Louis walking around the hotel at 1:30 p.m, but not around 4:30 p.m. when he allegedly left his kids at the fast-food joint.
That's right: He didn't leave the kids at the restaurant until THREE HOURS LATER, according to the cops and the witnesses who called the authorities.
The oldest child, the 10-year-old daughter, told officers that her dad was going to deliver "a bag" to her mom. The police contacted the mom and the dad and asked them both to come to the McDonald's, where the police then arrested dad.
Louis claimed that, while delivering the bag (which apparently never made it to mom?), he lost his ID and was out searching for it.
According to police, dad lied to cover his butt after leaving his kids at McDonald's.
'Given the facts and timeline established through BWC footage, witness statements, and follow-up investigation, it was determined that a misdemeanor charge of Deprivation of a Minor was appropriate to ensure the welfare of the children and facilitate a review of the matter by the court,' Richmond County Sheriff's Capt. Danny Whitehead said.
So it seems like he left his kids at a McDonald's to lallygag around on an unproductive bizarre side quest. And that's not all:
Yes, the 10-year-old daughter said that the dad does this FREQUENTLY!
This was just the first time anyone decided to call the cops.
Can't wait to see if there's another twist in this story! We'll let ya know.
