Those poor influencers!
The Coast Guard rescued 32 people from the submerged Lamborghini Tecnomar on Saturday (the Tecnomar is only rated for 16 people). Besides the crew, it was mostly female social-media influencers who were in town for the Formula 1 Miami Grand Prix.
My favorite bit has to be the lady who says "the baby is safe" as she cradles a $350 bottle of Clase Azul Gold tequila.
If you think about it, it's a great metaphor:
A bunch of party animals overcrowd a boat.
The boat starts sinking.
The passengers laugh and party as it sinks.
The only thing they care about saving is the booze.
Ah, the fall of civilization.
