Bottom of the tenth, no outs, bases loaded, game still tied, and this is how the Phillies walk off the Red Sox:

Catcher's interference??
On a check-swing??
I mean, the bases are loaded with nobody out, can't we just watch the Phillies win in baseball form?
But I admit, it's in the rulebook:
The batter is awarded first base if the catcher (or any other fielder) interferes with him at any point during a pitch.
So they did get it right, even though interfering with a check-swing doesn't really scream "take your base."
According to Sports Illustrated, this was the first time since 1971 that an MLB game was ended by a catcher's interference call.
And I sure hope we don't see it again anytime soon!
