I've never heard of a 6-minute long play in a football game, but I'm not mad at it.
On Friday's NFL preseason game between the Lions and Falcons, Detroit's Morice Norris suffered a serious injury requiring him to be taken off the field on a stretcher.

What a powerful image.
The teams mutually agreed that in a pointless preseason game there was no reason to continue after the injury to Norris. And they agreed to come together on the field for a prayer, because some things transcend sports.
The latest reports are that Norris is in stable condition.
