Abdihakim Osman Nur has been a whistleblower to Alpha News in Minnesota since 2016, detailing all sorts of things happening in the community, including providing the initial information about Rep. Ilhan Omar marrying her brother.
He has faced repeated death threats from his community for calling out illicit activities.
In 2022, Nur explained to Alpha News that the Somali community, like pretty much everyone, was hurt by the Covid lockdowns. It was then that he says the fraud went into overdrive.
During a time of need, Abdi told Alpha News he noticed something unusual taking place in the year 2020. He said members of the Somali community were flaunting cash and luxury items on social media. Abdi's suspicions climaxed when he saw a bride receiving a tray of gold during a wedding in the Twin Cities.

Abdi looked into where all the money was coming from. He said those showing off expensive purchases were connected to Twin Cities nonprofit Feeding Our Future.
Feeding Our Future was a fake nutrition program for kids created in 2016. Dozens of Somalis were charged with using the program to steal hundreds of millions of dollars in Covid relief funds, launching Somali fraud into the national limelight back in 2022. Not the Bee reported on it at the time.
A juror in that case was then offered $120,000 in bribe money from Somalis to vote "not guilty."
Now that more than $9 billion in taxpayer-funded fraud has been exposed in Minnesota alone, with more popping up in Somali communities across the U.S., people are wondering how so many officials, particularly in Democrat areas, could have missed the rampant crime happening under their noses.
YouTuber Nick Shirley was just able to uncover $110 million in fraud by visiting Somali businesses in Minneapolis, and he did so in a single day with one camera.
Local media has reported cases of Somali fraud as far back as 2018.
Despite this, local liberal judges have repeatedly dismissed fraud cases against Somalis, even when juries have convicted them.
Gov. Tim Walz bragged about expanding daycare funding in the 2024 debate with JD Vance, even though numerous Somali daycares are stealing tens, if not hundreds, of millions of tax dollars.
