It was a little after 3 p.m. when this dad and his 8-year-old daughter got out of the car to do a little trick-or-treating on the South Side of Chicago, supposedly while in the safety of the daylight, when this happened:
Robbed at gunpoint, pistol-whipped, and carjacked by a gang of thugs in the middle of the afternoon. They took everything but the candy from the sweet girl.

They pair start to walk across the sidewalk when an armed man runs up to them and points his gun at the victim's face. He then hits the victim in the head with the gun.
