If you needed a ringing endorsement of the power of homeschool, look no further than this walking, talking, three-foot-tall billboard:

The young lady's remarks are worth printing in full here:

Thanks to Gov. Lombardo, Nevada is on its way to becoming a true school choice state, giving the children the tools to thrive. Our school system is too large and too slow to keep up with a world shaped by rapidly changing job markets. That's why families need options, like smaller private schools, charter schools, and homeschooling.

I spell at a third grade level and do high school level math. And no school could accommodate my needs. So I'm homeschooled. And because of that I've performed at Carnegie Hall, won six national math competitions, and donated hundreds of thousands of dollars to nonprofit organizations through the sales of my paintings.

But what about the child with the same potential except whose familiy can't afford to homeschool? It's not just about academics. It's about unlocking talents, building confidence and creating opportunities, It's about teaching kids to solve problems and makes a difference. Since every kid is different, and every family has different circumstances, school choice is how we prepare Nevada students for real-world success, and that everyone who wants a job gets a job.

The world is moving forward, and Nevada needs to move forward with the world. Thank you Gov. Lombardo for fighting for school choice.

Masterfully said, young lady!

As an aside, if you didn't know by this young woman's articulate, coherent remarks that she's obviously homeschooled, the fact that she can sit quietly through three hours of government bureaucracy should be another tipoff.

I also love Ms. Leong delivering her statement roughly 18 inches below the other witnesses:

Nevada's AB 584 has been described as "a bill that promises to reshape Nevada's education landscape for the better," including through vouchers and by "breath[ing] new life into Nevada's charter school system."

I'd say little Juliette Leong may have just pushed that bill over the finish line single-handedly!
