Yes, this is real. Leading NYC mayoral candidate — who also happens to be a literal communist, as well as a Muslim (almost makes too much sense) — Zohran Mamdani's father actually argues that we should stop stigmatizing — checks notes — suicide bombing. 😳

Mahmood Mandani, the Harvard grad and current Columbia University professor, claims suicide bombers are "soldiers," in an attempt to neutralize the moral playing field, and not what they really are: radical, religiously-motivated terrorists.
Then he says, "Suicide bombing needs to be understood as a feature of modern political violence rather than stigmatized."
This screenshot comes from his book "Good Muslim, Bad Muslim," where he suggests that ‘political Islam', including terrorist movements, comes from encounters with ‘Western power dynamics.'
In other words, he argues that because of ‘colonialism' and the lasting impact of Western influence — particularly during the Cold War — those committing acts of suicidal terrorism are portrayed as doing so in response to overwhelming oppression by Western powers. They are cast as victims, and their jihad is framed as a natural, if extreme, reaction to that victimization.
This is classic Marxism: Man is seen as a social construct, nothing more than a product of his environment — so even his worst actions, like blowing people up for a violent religious cause, are ultimately blamed on the conditions around him.
(Personal responsibility is a thing of the past, I guess.)
All that is academic jargon for: "We're suppose to feel bad for jihadi terrorists now."

Oh, did I mention that Zohran's dad is excited about a "Third Intifada"?
Suddenly, it makes perfect sense why Columbia University has become a breeding ground for "Free Palestine" terrorist sympathizers.
It also seems the Mamdani crowd has something of a history of, shall we say, sympathizing with or appeasing radical Islamic terrorism. 👇
According to Walden — another mayoral candidate and outspoken critic of Zohran — the organization posted its support for the convicted terrorist less than a month after Zohran graduated.
I just hope and pray — for the sake of NYC — Zohran does not become their next mayor.
