For a brief 90-second stretch on Sunday morning, Face the Nation viewers could be forgiven for believing they'd slipped into an alternate reality.

Yes, that's really CBS reporter Jan Crawford scolding the press corps for repeatedly pushing the narrative that the conservative Supreme Court is somehow "corrupt."

Not only is that narrative over reported, it is patently false and it is dangerous for the institution and the public's faith and confidence in the rule of law. People can disagree and do disagree with their opinions, but it's profoundly wrong to call it or say corruption where there, in fact, is none.

A CBS journalist just called out CBS - and other network reporters - for spreading misinformation about the judiciary.

It's a Christmas miracle (albeit a few days late)!

Crawford reminded viewers that the Supreme Court has been consistently conservative for 20 years, is functioning as intended, and is not "in the tank" for anyone. She even warned that rhetoric about corruption is "profoundly irresponsible," pointing out that undermining public trust in the Court could threaten democracy itself - a statement made even more ironic being aimed at the same journalists who spend most of their waking hours wringing their hands over supposed "threats to democracy."

This is notable because CBS has long been a cornerstone of media bias. This is the network that gave the world Dan Rather and his humiliating lies about George W. Bush's National Guard record, as well as the 60 Minutes Kamala Harris interview editing scandal.

And yet here is CBS's own reporter, speaking on CBS's own Sunday morning program, essentially saying, "stop lying about the Supreme Court."

Leftists reacted to this act of journalism with fury:

It's shocking, it's brief, it's probably just a glitch in the matrix. But when random acts of journalism do occur, they're worth celebrating.
