So, Virginia's election for the top law enforcement agent just got a lot more interesting.

Jay Jones is the Democrat nominee for Attorney General in Virginia and some leaked text messages covered in National Review, confirmed real by all parties, show some really disgusting and vile truths about the lefty.

That's just the tip of the iceberg. And, no, it's very clear from the text messages that he's not just kidding around. Jay Jones is a real piece of work.

Here are the texts that Jay Jones sent to Republican House Delegate Carrie Coyner in 2022 in response to the Speaker of the House Gilbert eulogizing a moderate Republican:

Yes, this is the potential next Attorney General in Virginia saying he hopes to "piss on their graves" when referring to his opponents across the aisle. Then doubling down saying he would shoot and kill the Republican Speaker in Virginia over Hitler or Pol Pot.

But they don't stop there. The above texts could possibly be passed off as a joke. But these next ones are even more disturbing.

Yes, Jay Jones wants to make his Republican colleague "move on policy" and wishing death upon Gilbert's children is the best way to do that. He wants the Republican to feel pain so that he will come to his side of the political aisle.

I can't wait to hear the leftists lecture me once again about how both sides need to tone down the rhetoric.

This is a run-of-the-mill Democrat who is an attorney and served in the house of delegates. He has a friendly face in public, but this is how he talks to and about Republicans.

And here's Jones doubling down when he was asked at the time to take back his extremist stance:

He thinks that the Speaker of the House at the time, Todd Gilbert, a normal Republican with his normal wife are "evil" and raising "little fascists."

So much so, that he wants the KIDS to die!

If this is what the professional political class of the Democrat Party says in private, why are we surprised when their radicals start shooting people like Charlie Kirk, motivated by the same "fascist" slur.

This is the leading candidate for the most important law enforcement role in Virginia.

But, yeah, both sides have a rhetoric problem.

Jones did not respond to National Review before the story broke, but since then has put out two statements. A non-apology and then a sort-of apology.

Here's the first wherein he just attacks his opponent:

Here's the second where he did actually apologize:

And he's still running for the position. He "regrets" his words ... now that he's been exposed.

Here's some commentary on the situation.

Pressure is going to be mounting on Jay Jones to drop out.
