In what I would describe as the world's most random act of kindness, a Kelowna, Canada, resident found someone had restored his entire collection of lawn gnomes after they had mysteriously disappeared from his yard.
Kelly Blair's gnomes used to look like this ๐
When they disappeared, he didn't think much of it. A few weeks before, someone had stolen a canoe and other personal items from his property, so he assumed the gnomes were the latest casualties in an unfortunate crime spree.
But after the gnomes were missing, Blair received a knock on his back door. An elderly woman was there. She handed him an envelope with a note from the "Gnome Restoration Society," then led him to her car.
The missing gnomes were there.
Fully restored.
The woman, who didn't identify herself, told Blair she was simply delivering the gnomes on behalf of the "society."
These folks want to remain anonymous.
Blair told the Black Press,
The gnomes are home! It totally made my day.
In addition to the nine gnomes that went missing, the mysterious Gnome Restoration Society also threw in two bonus gnomes.
Blair said that his gnomes have truly never looked better, and added his thanks to the mysterious society responsible, saying,
The detail is just incredible. Thank you so much for this random act of kindness.
