Pro-abortion men remain the creepiest among us.
If you missed it, the former mayor-turned-transportation secretary, Pete Buttigieg, said the quiet part out loud on that bizarre "White Dudes for Kamala" Zoom call. For the longest time, progressives have attempted to paint the dismembering of human infants in the womb as a women's rights issue.
That's always been as galling as it is confusing. The connective bonds formed between mother and child in the womb are far beyond physical.
In short, motherhood is miraculous. Fetal development is a breathtaking demonstration of the Divine at work in humanity.
The premise that the human rights of women are somehow advanced or championed by a decision to violate that sacred space with skull-crushing forceps, high-suction vacuum tubes, and skin-dissolving chemicals is one of the greatest lies that has ever been foisted upon a self-absorbed population. The degree to which our society embraces something as gruesome as abortion is directly proportional to how far we are from virtues like altruism, compassion, and self-sacrifice.
What's worse, many of us who oppose legalized feticide have been blowing the whistle on how abortion has become the best friend to sex traffickers, serial abusers, child molesters and rapists, and a multitude of evil men whose lives revolve around exploiting and harming women. Any movement that claims to resist patriarchy, male chauvinism and supremacy, would never overlook this obvious reality.
But they do. And now because they have, the very progressive LGBT movement that regularly degrades women by pretending men can give birth, and that femininity is nothing more than lipstick and a feeling, has felt emboldened to dispatch one of their modern prophets to explain to men why abortion is so good for them. They don't hide this is about male supremacy; they wallow and glory in it.
Remember, Buttigieg and his "husband" have mocked the glory of motherhood before by famously cosplaying in a hospital bed with their designer babies.
And now, the same man is proudly championing how legalized abortion allows men the ability to be sexually irresponsible, abuse women as playthings, and not have to bear any financial or emotional responsibility for what they've done. Obviously, as a politician, Buttigieg knows how to avoid directly saying, "Hey men, just have your fun and then scald with saline or surgically dismember the prenatal consequence, no questions asked."
But that's where his logic leads: Abortion as birth control.
To be fair to Mayor Pete, I don't know that he's fully thought through the implications of his own worldview. Progressive sexual revolutionaries don't make a habit of such things. But that's how backwards anti-Christian, progressive thought becomes - you don't intend in your heart to be making life easier on rapists and sexual abusers, but the lies you've told in order to facilitate other sins leads you right into this moral morass.
I know it's all the rage at the moment to call Donald Trump and JD Vance "weird." And maybe they are depending on your perspective. But a gay man who purchased his children, telling straight men that having their own children killed is a celebration of freedom?
