The Constitution is dead. Long live the Constitution.
SO MUCH THOUGHTCRIME IN ONE VIDEO.
Unfortunately, there are many, even fellow brothers in Christ, who do not understand what time it is. I want to humbly address one of these people, Pastor Owen Strachan, who has publicly railed against this video for days on social media.
Respectfully, and I mean that with true grace and salt, this is the type of post I see from sheltered people who do not understand history or our current moment in time.
Neither Wade Stott, nor Pastor Douglas Wilson, nor Canon Press are arguing for the overthrow of the U.S. Constitution.
They are pointing out, as is Auron Macintyre and others, that this has already happened.
"They want to overturn the Constitution!!"
No, the Left has already done that. This is merely a post mortem.
No one here is saying that the Bill of Rights or the Constitution are bad and should be overthrown in favor of "political anarchism under the guide of Christian idealism." Our founding documents draw their ideals from the Bible and the philosophers/statesmen that grew in the soil that the Gospel cultivated (like Francis Bacon and John Locke, or the nobles that drew up the Magna Carta). They are precisely the types of documents that men like Douglas Wilson (and the vast majority of Christians/conservatives) would love to return to.
Rather, a growing number of "problematic" people on the Right are noting that the goal, for hundreds of years, has been to dissect these biblically rooted founding charters - that Satan has spent centuries using postmodern and Marxist thought to kill the Constitution piece-by-piece.
Not only does the Left want to keep anyone from noticing this fact, but many in power on the Right want to silence such thoughtcrime. After all, if the non-woke learn how to actually oppose the woke regime, how will establishment Republicans continue their grift as controlled opposition??
Many people warned this was coming: The only difference here is that these rabble rousers say it has already happened, and that we must understand how to navigate a world where Montana authorities can seize someone's daughter under the guise of transgender ideology.
If the Constitution has not been replaced, how are things like this possible?
The Constitution and the Declaration are great not because they were created by men; they are great because they are rooted in the timeless truths of God.
We must appreciate what came before without blinding ourself to the fact that it is passing away. Otherwise we become like the great lords of Gondor, who could not see their own coming doom.

The Constitution is not a god. I can acknowledge that it is not eternal. I can even laugh at it.
At the same time, I can respect what it is ... what it was.
If you think people like me are calling for anarchy and Sharia Law, then I pray you find your way soon. A ruined kingdom may be rebuilt - a Constitution rewritten.
But it will not be easy.
We are in need of happy warriors who understand what time it is.
As Jefferson himself wrote:
